Two siblings with an insatiable passion to only be the best. A company without generations of crafstmanship can only take on the established chocolatiers with creative, never-thought-of strategies. Amedei Chocolates are used by the likes of Thomas Keller and Ferran Adria. Need I say more?

Once the Toscana Black 66% filled this box. The aroma of this dark blend as described by the maker is of “freshly grown forest undergrowth and forest fruits: redcurrants, wild strawberries, raspberries and blackberries.”

Only a selected few had the privilege to enjoy a square of my only bar of precious Amedei. As the black gold melt in their mouths, their eyelids slide heavily down the eyes and the lips stay pursed. After this brief moment of cocoa bliss, it is almost as if the mouth would not open to speak and all I hear is “MMmmmm….”.

In January I will be replenishing my Amedei treasure chest, there will be a limited selection of Amedei Chocolates (100g bars) available for purchase should you wish to enjoy some as well.
