Steaks have gone upmarket and hip. The usual steakhouse, perfumed with the greasy smell of char-grilled meats and fries, bustling with jolly diners and sounds of sizzling plates had been replaced at Prime with silent and seamless waiting staff, high back arm chairs and an open kitchen to watch the orchestra of chefs.
Prime, the swanky steakhouse that had just recently opened in Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, even has a dedicated wine platform offering many varieties for tasting. What’s great is that you can sample the wines offered to your whim and fancy until the right one comes along. Luxuries like that do come rare these days save for a young fabulous looking woman who still has choices and can try each one out before she decides on the right man.
The price to pay is exorbitant as expected. Side dishes such as Truffle Mashed Potatoes don’t come cheap at RM50 for a serving too small for myself but the type of meats on offer, costing at least RM80 or more, from Argentina, USA and Australia makes Prime the place for both steak lovers and fine dining connoisseurs.
If you are feeling a little 5-star, salivating for a slice of properly done steak but yet not quite a bustling noisy steakhouse (which I observed wait staff usually to be slightly grumpy) and of course, absolutely needing some wine do wash down your dinner, with excellent company you’ll have a prime time here.
Masak-masak, of course had paid its visit! Read the review here.
