Barcelona : Sunset to Full Moon

Up in the Montjuic, the wind was blowing stronger than ever. I sat up at the fortress walls of the Castell and stared out into the ocean. It’s been a long time since I last saw the sea and such views just open up space within myself too. This was the ‘truth spot’, according to my local host – a place for peace and for seeking answers. Did I find my answers here? He found mine before we headed down the hill towards Placa de Espanya once we heard some loud music playing from afar. I didn’t have a clue of the music.

The music faded but the crowds grew bigger, drawn unanimously towards on direction. A turn later, Placa de Espanya, bathed in the orange setting sun greeted me in its full glory. I continued walking alone, as my host disappeared to get a drink. And at moment, the fountain came alive like magic with the music playing and colours changing hues. All eyes in the crowd smiled, mine too as I couldn’t take a step further with the moon in full view, the music and the fountain.
