The X-press Breakfast Club

On the mornings where I have to start work at 8, I vow to get outta bed
at 6.15. Most of actual time was more like 6.45, leaving me with only
40 minutes to look good, make wholesome breakfast and on very
optimistic days, make a Moonbucks latte.

The day will never begin until breakfast is served.

Today’s Breakfast Special

2 slices Adventist 7 type of sprouted grains 100% flour free bread
Toasted & Generously Buttered (Lurpak spreadable is best!)
Slice of ham
Slice of Happy Cow Gouda cheese
Slices from a ripe tomato – I used the one with those little green octopus-shaped leaves still intact

Finally I’ve found the secret behind cold crispy toasts, thank you
Delia (or more like thanks to HSBC credit card for funding the book).
Toasts should be left standing vertically instead of flat to let the
steam escape. I just slide them in between jam jars and mugs.

Another beautiful thing about this sandwich is that the gouda cheese
somehow softens well at room temperature, unlike some cheddar. So its
as good as popping the sandwich in the oven to soften the cheese!

Health Rating : Excellente!

Preparation time from scratch : Under 6 minutes

Consumption time : Under 3 minutes

So no more excuses for store-made ‘fresh sandwich’!
