Edinburgh : Night Afore International

In a flurry of street Scottish dancing, wild theatrical street dramas and live bands, we were back with the thousands of people in the city for dsc_3302.jpganother night of celebration. We waited patiently in front of a set-up stage, hoping that when the show began we had front row seats. So protective were we of our spot that when everyone, except the front-row hoards like us, began to dance to the live band who were screaming out the dance steps, “Heel, toe, heel, toe, hook and jump around….change partners and go!”, we repeatedly stuck to the ground as they danced down the long line.

And I was the last standing person of this just made-up line. Next thing I knew, that frown was blown away and replaced with a big smile because a stout man grabbed my hand and jumped and turned me around, skipping and laughing heartily.
