Counting Down
And the preparations begin. August 30th is the date and I’ll be off. After months of contemplating and planning, the trip is finally happening.
A quick glimpse into what’s in store.
I hope to be enjoying Budapest’s public bath, shed a tear to commerate those who have suffered in Auschwitz, crowd along with many British stag night getaways boys on Charles Bridge in Prague, pay homage to the home of Budweiser, say “Prost” to the other 5999 people who will be in the same beer tent as I am in Munich’s Oktoberfest, sing along to the Salzburg’s Sound of Music, walk the path that inspired Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, get a taste of a real Sachertorte in Vienna, attempt to understand Scottish English and finally stroll along parading ladies in Amsterdam’s red light district.
