I couldn’t think of a birthday present for my mom. So I offered to throw a dinner party for her and her siblings. We had a fabulous time, intoxicating ourselves with sangria, bacardi, red wine and beer. Now you can see where the alcoholic in me came from, it runs in the family. And to make it a more meaningful present, I decided to make everything from scratch!

The Starters

Mozzarella, Anchovies + Tomatoes

Marinated Red Peppers

Mushrooms cooked in Garlic

Fried Sweet Green Pepper (Pimientos)

Spinach with Apple + Pine Nuts

Lime Sorbet as mouth cleansers

The Mains

Warm Squid on Rocket

Grilled Supersize Oysters

Prawn + Bacon Brochettes

Clams in Tomato + White Wine

The Dessert
