Out of Country | Here we go again..

A wise lady that’s slightly more than half century old once told me, "It is not what you own that matters, it is what you have done that makes a person out of you."

Of course there are many ways you can look at it. That day, we were talking about her experiences waitressing as a student in London during the 70s.  She didn’t really need to, as she was fortunate enough to have sufficient funds.  But her friends were not as blessed, they needed to work to stay in university so she chose to work like them. She related the lessons learned then that still remain with her up till today.

Yes, I’m off again to seek more experiences – it’s almost like an obsession for me.  This time, for career purposes first.  For two plus weeks from 9am to 5pm daily, I’ll be attending an anatomy course in a residential farmhouse in Agatharied, located 1 hour away from Munich at the foot of the Alps and will be fed like a German daily from breakfast, lunch to dinner.  A few Pilates sessions and meetings with senior teachers squeezed in here and there too.

OK I will admit, there is some holiday after all though guilt I possess not.  The Other Half had moved from Edinburgh to Milan,
to another university for six more months of postgraduate studies.
Whether my intention is purely to see him again or to see Florence,
Rome, Venice and hopefully the beautiful Lake Como, I dare not
confidently say.

If time and opportunity allow, I shall hope to stamp some posts from
Germany and Italy. In the meantime, head over to the travelogue – On The Road and stay tuned here in April for an Italian fiesta!
