Lessons from Ferran Adria

To cap off another year of Chocolate Buddha and in tangent with new year resolution frenzy we all embark on but often fail to keep, we could learn a few good things from the legendary Ferran Adria.

Respected by his peers, recognized by the art and design
world and the owner of probably the restaurant with the most reservation requests – over 800,000
calls every year and El Bulli only opens for half. Yet he is still at modesty with his
achievement. His latest interview with
The Observer Food magazine reveals some useful lessons to learn from, chef or
not.

  • It’s not about the money.
  • If you commit yourself to the highest standards, eventually that
will attract the best people to work with you.
  • Never be selfish.
  • Allow your work to totally consume you.
  • Keep the enthusiasm up!
  • Stay honest and focused always.
  • Don’t brag about yourself.

Happy New Year!
