“Penang.” Just its name alone will start some rumbles in the stomach. Synonymous with Char Kuay Teow. Too most Malaysians, this island is a paradise of food where they are endless array of delicious meals you can savour from the streetside to seaside.
The quick zip up north and back didn’t turned out to be a gluttony trip like all those previous ones. And because the focus wasn’t about eating as much at as many places possible given the limited, yet highly expandable gut space, I saw another side of Penang I had never knew.
I had a great time and appreciated the change of from routine in Kuala Lumpur but my conclusion shall be this, a trip to Penang without Malaysians, will never truly be a trip to Penang!
