Edinburgh : Farmers’ Market

Our temporary accommodation here is located on the West End, close
to the main shopping area at Princes Street and also the Edinburgh
Castle which faces Princes Street. Just along the Castle Terrace
leading up to the monumental building, farmers come out on Saturday
mornings to put their fresh produce on sale.

Often I have read about farmers’ market and since I was craving from
fresh produce (Sainsbury packed mince beef is not what I would call
fresh), we woke up earlier than usual to go shopping.

Waves smelling of barbequed veal burgers, roast pork and espresso accompanied us as we bought enough to feed us for the next 2 days.
