Steak & Eggs

With Saturdays becoming more of a full workday for me, the usual Saturday lunch cook-out at home has been bumped permanently to Sundays. After a hard week’s work (though some of you would like to challenge that), nothing beats Sunday brunch. I’ve heard raves about Shangri-la Hotel’s Lemon Garden serving up excellent Sunday brunch and The Ritz-Carlton offering Champagne Brunch too.

As part of my current advocacy of “eating in” and also my impending need to save some moolah in time for a particular 1 month event in September, cooking at home is ultimately for survival! It would have pained the wallet to pay for steak & eggs at a restaurant, if there were any that were serving it up. Do you happen to know any?

Here’s how you can make it at home :

2 thin slices of ribeye

2 of the freshest eggs you can find

Season slices of beef generously with fresh ground salt & pepper.
Pan fry beef 2 minutes on each side in a well-oiled hot pan.
After the beef’s done, fry 2 sunny side ups to soak up the beef’d oil.

If this is not greasy enough for you, serve with some fresh chips.
