Sashimi, Primitivo, Champagne Truffles + Cherries

Cherry

One down with fever and the other still recovering from her
cross continent journey left the final third person, D amongst us all to
prepare a simple meal at home. As I told the hosts, I am feeling more and more at home each time I come back here!

While marinating the raw salmon and tuna slices in a sauce
of wasabi, soy, ginger, rose wine and sesame oil, we kept our tummy happy
popping olives and crunchy, salty algae.

Sashimi

We served the fish with plain white rice and a tossed salad
of rocket and uncorked a bottle of Primitivo. Together with a bowl of black cherries, we also had some
excellent champagne and amaretto truffles as we adjourned on the sofa to
continue chatting until our eyes shut.

Dining in like this can be as pleasurable as or more than dining
out.
