First time for the Better Half and second for myself. It can be hard to visit a place together when one party had already been there. Immediately after we stepped off the train, I recognized with clarity the Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). Even when we headed out to the Altstadt (Old Town) it felt like I was strangely led to the correct direction with a compass.
Being so-called ‘experienced’, I felt compelled to bring him to those sights I had visited. Luckily he happily obliged. For me, it was seeing Salzburg in white winter previously and now painted lush green.
And so now, it has become the Salzburg we both know.
Salzburg Fortress viewed from the Richter Plateau, a rewarding 5km walk away from the tourist overflow and tranquility to stare in admiration of the beautiful Alps.
Can’t escape the Mozart Kugeln at every corner!
Because we were so close to his birthplace.
And the blooming Mirabell Gardens….
