We are guilty of clinging and attachment. In our efforts trying to manage post-holiday blues, or more aptly described, not wanting to face the mundane reality we’ve temporarily left, we try to talk about our holiday as often possible. To as many people possible. So if you actually see many different people, you’ve effectively prolonged your holiday mood.
Yes, my admission to such attachment and action come with guilty shame.
Sorry, back to the food. Som Tum was ‘Dish of the Day’ everyday in Thailand.
Day 1 : Some unmemorable cafe in Khao San Road, fresh out from the plane.
Day 2 : Bahn Khanitaa on Sukhumvit Soi 23
Day 3 : Sawasdee Restaurant opposite Hilton Hua Hin
Day 4 : Nongnat Seafood Restaurant (more like a shack) on Cha-Am beach
Day 5 : Anna’s Cafe on Saladaeng Road, Bangkok
Green Papaya Salad is just not imitated decently anywhere else out of Thailand.
