C | A Relationship between Gluttony and Canine

iggy

We had just sat down for a 12-course dégustation in Iggy’s. And she was flipping through their extensive Pinot Noir-dominant wine list and then she looked up to ask me, “Quality or quantity?” She already had her answer, mine was merely for reassurance. We had the same idea. So then began our 3+ hours of dining and wining with half bottle of a darn good French red and the beginning of a wonderful friendship bounded by the love for (a lot of) food. Unless you consider the relations between our canines – her Labrador is mother to mine.

A few weeks before Singapore, we were surprised to a 6-course ad hoc menu at Max’s Kitchen. Since Iggy’s, our list is growing broader and hopefully our waistline doesn’t grow in a similar manner. Bak Kut Teh in Klang for Sunday brunch, double-patty beef burgers at The Bulldog, El Cerdo for the pork delights and the infamous roast pork in Pudu. With her, eating out for me has been enthusiastically redefined.

And she constantly praises my coffee which I suspect is her tactic to get a regular supply. I don’t mind at all.
