Confessions of A Irresponsible Blogger

Its been many absent weeks here, there was an anomaly in my social
& work calendar. The month of July is synonymous with countless
birthdays and there are so many that I get my friends’ all mixed up
even! But of course, part of the most crowded birthday seasons of all
month would be me as well.

I was drawn away from my own kitchen
by many generous invites from lovely friends for
lunches and dinners.
But cautious was I, not to be drawn into the ‘dark side’ of dining out
full time!

What
else could be better to re-ignite my oven and stove at home than this
amazing gift. Thomas Keller is top on my must-eat-in-this-lifetime
list. Deep respects for his techniques, how achingly perfect he lets
himself be.

He has had other books published, The French
Laundry, but the food is really unaccessible to home cooks like me.
Then came Bouchon, simple everyday food elevate into ‘michelin’ starred
cuisine standards which can be done at home! Its almost like Thomas
Keller giving you tips while you’re cooking.

Thank you the Other
Half, for buying me yet another book from my wishlist. I promise to
return back into the kitchen on Saturdays to make lunch after a long
hiatus!
